Made for Gathering
Built for the Way You Actually Entertain
A wet bar or kitchenette turns a finished basement, bonus room, or rec space into somewhere people actually want to gather. At Rugged Ridge Construction, we design and build these spaces so they feel like a natural extension of your home, not an afterthought bolted onto a corner.
Brad Loper spent six years working under experienced contractors before earning his Colorado master plumber license, and that background shows up here more than almost anywhere else. A wet bar or kitchenette lives or dies on its plumbing: the sink, the drain line, the ice maker hookup, the mini-fridge circuit. Get that wrong and you’re tearing out cabinetry two years later. Get it right the first time, and you never think about it again.
What We Offer
Small Footprint. Full Function.
We build wet bars and kitchenettes that pack real function into a tight space, sized right, plumbed right, and finished to match the rest of your home.
Our wet bar and kitchenette services include:
- Full wet bar design and build, from concept to finished cabinetry
- Kitchenette installation with sink, mini-fridge, and beverage center
- Custom cabinetry and countertops that match or complement your main kitchen
- Under-counter ice makers, wine fridges, and dishwasher drawers
- Tile, backsplash, and lighting to finish the space
- In-house plumbing for sink lines, drains, and ice maker supply
Each space is built to handle real use (pouring drinks, prepping snacks, hosting a crowd) without feeling like a lesser version of your kitchen.

Our Commitment
Built Right Down to the Last Fitting
Rugged Ridge Construction has held to one standard since 2022: quote it straight, show up when we say we will, and finish it clean. A wet bar doesn’t get a lighter version of that just because it’s smaller than a kitchen.
For bigger builds, Wisetack financing is on the table. We’ll walk through what it actually costs before you sign anything.

A Space That Pulls Its Weight
A wet bar or kitchenette isn’t just a nice-to-have. Done right, it adds real living space and real function to a home, whether that’s a place to host game nights, a coffee station for a finished basement, or the difference between a guest suite that feels complete and one that doesn’t. It’s also one of the more straightforward ways to add resale value to a lower level that would otherwise sit unused.
If you’re finishing a basement, converting a bonus room, or adding a guest suite, this is usually one piece of a bigger project. We build wet bars and kitchenettes on their own, but we also fold them into basement finishing, guest suite, and full remodel projects without missing a step.
Layout Questions Worth Answering Early
Every wet bar we build starts with a few practical decisions that shape everything after: how many people need to fit around it, whether it’s a straight run or an L-shape, and what appliances actually earn a spot. A wine fridge, an ice maker, and a full-size beverage center all pull different plumbing and electrical needs, and cramming in every option usually means none of them get enough clearance to work well.
We also plan for what’s above and below. A basement wet bar needs to account for drain slope back to the main line, which sometimes means a small ejector pump if gravity alone won’t get the job done. That’s the kind of detail that gets missed when plumbing and design aren’t handled by the same team, and exactly the kind that turns into a callback.
