Caught Early
Small Leaks Don't Stay Small
A slow leak behind a wall or under a slab can run for months before anyone notices, and by then the damage is a lot more expensive than the leak itself. Rugged Ridge Construction handles leak detection and repair across Northern Colorado with the same plumbing expertise Brad built over six years working under experienced contractors before earning his Colorado master plumber license. That kind of work is precise, not guesswork.
What We Offer
Found Fast. Fixed Right.
We narrow down where a hidden leak is before opening anything up, then repair the source rather than the symptom.
Our leak detection and repair services include:
- Leak detection for hidden, slab, and wall-concealed leaks
- Repair of supply line, drain line, and fixture leaks
- Slab leak diagnosis and repair
- Repiping sections affected by corrosion or repeated leaks
- Water damage assessment tied back to the source
- Pressure testing to confirm the repair is tight
Each repair targets the actual source rather than the symptom, which is what keeps the same leak from coming back.
Our Advantage
Find It Right, Fix It Once
Diagnosed Before We Cut
We isolate the source before opening a wall or slab, so the repair happens in the right spot the first time.
In-House Plumbing Expertise
Our master plumber handles diagnosis and repair directly, no guesswork passed between a sub and a general contractor.
Built to Prevent the Next One
We flag what caused the leak (old piping, a bad connection) so you know what else nearby might be at risk.
The goal is one repair, not three follow-up calls.
Our Commitment
Straight Answers, Not Guesswork
We’ve held to one standard since 2022: quote it accurately, schedule it honestly, finish it properly. A leak repair is no exception. We tell you what we found, why it happened, and what it’ll take to fix, before we touch a wall.
For larger repiping jobs, Wisetack financing is available. We’ll walk through the terms at the estimate.
Rugged Ridge Construction is a registered Colorado plumbing contractor (Reg. No. 5335). Plumbing work is led by Brad Loper, Colorado master plumber license no. 3001338.

Why Fast Action Matters
Water damage compounds. A leak that would have been a small repair in week one can turn into drywall, flooring, and mold remediation by month three. If something feels off (a running sound, a damp spot, a bill that doesn’t match your usage), it’s worth a call before it becomes a bigger job.
What We're Actually Looking For
Older homes in Northern Colorado still have sections of galvanized steel or, less often, polybutylene piping, both of which fail differently than modern copper or PEX. Galvanized pipe corrodes from the inside out, so a leak is worth taking seriously: the rest of that run has sat in the same water, at the same temperature, for the same number of years. It doesn’t mean the whole run fails next month, but it does mean a spot repair is a patch rather than a fix. Polybutylene went into homes starting in 1978 and stayed in use until manufacturers stopped making it in the mid-1990s. Chlorine in normal treated water attacks both the pipe and the original gray acetal fittings, so checking the fittings alone won’t tell you the system is sound. When we find either during a leak repair, we’ll tell you plainly whether a spot repair makes sense or whether it’s worth repiping the section while the wall is already open.
How We Find a Leak Without Guessing
Before any wall or slab gets opened, we work through a process: checking the water meter with everything off, isolating sections of the plumbing system to narrow the source, and using pressure testing where needed to confirm a diagnosis. For slab leaks specifically, this matters even more. Cutting into a concrete floor in the wrong spot is expensive and avoidable. We only open something up once we’re confident about where the problem actually is.
